Technician I, II & III
Technician I
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years, no degree/certification
Typical Responsibilities:
- Assisting senior technicians with basic tasks including general cleaning/organizing
- Simple assembly work, cleaning of components, and visual inspections, after training.
- Performing some routine maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge acquired from company-provided training courses in daily tasks and responsibilities.
Skillset:
- Basic technical knowledge of tools and familiarity with common hardware, with training.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Technician II
Qualifications:
- 5 years related experience, or an associate’s degree from an accredited trade school or community college, Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certificate, or similar.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Perform entry-to-routine technician work, including assembly under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for independent judgement.
- Follow standard procedures, relying on direction from others to solve problems that are not standard.
- Assist others in performing work of greater complexity.
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge acquired from company-provided training courses in daily tasks and responsibilities.
Skillset:
- Basic technical understanding of APELC systems.
- Proficiency in use of basic to advanced equipment and tools
- Ability to analyze and resolve basic technical problems.
Technician III
Qualifications:
- 10 years related experience, or 5 years with an associate’s degree from an accredited trade school or community college, Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certificate, or similar.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Perform moderately complex technician work, assembly with some latitude for independent judgement.
- Work more independently than previous level.
- Routinely assist others in performing work of greater complexity.
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge acquired from company-provided training courses in daily tasks and responsibilities.
Skillset:
- Proficiency in use of specialized tools and equipment.
- Ability to analyze and resolve varied technical problems.
- Proficiency in keeping thorough and precise documentation of work activities, including maintenance logs, test results, and procedural updates, to support traceability and continuous improvement.
